Hair Loss From Refined Carbohydrates, you body takes an insulin hit.

December 20th, 2009

This can cause hair to weaken and fall out, which is my case.   Does anyone know if hair loss from insulin spikes (from processed carbs) can be reversed though diet and exercise? My hair has really thinned out, and my hairline is starting to recede. I know it could be genetics, but I have a strong feeling that it’s from my poor diet.

Umm, short answer NO. The only proven method to reverse hair loss are: propecia (rx drug), dutasteride (rx drug), and rogaine. If youre really curious about this - is a good place to start. Additionally, if youre interested in natural cures (which do have some validity) visit - theres some interesting stuff on there too.

How old are you, and does androgenous alopecia (hairloss) run in your family?
